The data regarding the movement of private jets is due to be submitted at the apex court’s Karachi registry within 24 hours.
The CJP also took suo motu notice of the alleged appointment of pilots holding fake qualifications. A comprehensive report in this regard is to be submitted within 10 days, as directed by the SC.
He remarked that nobody found involved in bringing disgrace on the country would go unpunished. He said if the news about the scandal was true, then steps should be taken to deal with it.
The SC took notice of the fake degree scandal days after the BBC report revealed that thousands of UK citizens bought fake degrees from ‘Axact’ in Pakistan.
More than 3,000 fake Axact qualifications were sold to UK-based buyers in 2013 and 2014, including master’s degrees, doctorates and PhDs, it said.
